Perhaps you have already noticed, but Karl Denson and Rico Rodriguez and his band have all been added to the artist line up. I'm sorry that I couldn't announce it earlier. (+ The headliner of the Green Stage on Sunday will be announced on the 7th June at The Official Home Page, we hear.)
In case you're wondering, Rico Rodriguez is a legendary Trombone player whose masterpiece, "Man from Wareika" is part of Reggae history. He is highly respected by Kodama-san, EX-MUTEBEAT, the all of the members of the SKA FLAMES and the DETERMINATIONS. He came to Japan to play with the SPECIALS (of course this is the original band with Jerry Dummers and Terry Hall) , The TROJANS, BAD MANNERS and as a member of JAZZ JAMAICA, but this is his first time to come with his original band. Quite surprising.
Moreover, this year we have the SKATALITES playing as well, so RICO might jump in with them at some point... Am I the only one who thinks so ? I don't think so. Reggae and Ska fans must be having the same idea. Now, we're not sure who is in Rico's band, but regulars like Michael Bummy Rose or Eddie Tantan Thorton (both from ASWAD's horn session) and Tony Groco Uta will take part.. If they all come, it will be much more fun! Look forward to it.
Anyway, our wish came true concerning the train for Fujirockers. The booking will start soon. The details are below, but before that please read the message from SMASH's Nambu-san, who made this HOSHIZORA train happen.

Finally, we can announce the details for reservations. I will wait until May 19th, hoping that at least 300 people would book. But I am really sorry for people who are looking for Hotel Seats. The accommodation we can provide is a 15 minute bus ride from Echigo Nakazato station, which is 2 stations from JR Echigo Yuzawa station. (To go to the venue, use the free shuttle bus running between the venue and station) We are still negotiating, but the last bus for Echigo Yuzawa station is 11:30 p.m. We were unable to finish negotiating by May 10th. The fee itself is not expensive, so you should be open to exam it. But if you want to wait until the last moment, email towest@smash-jpn.com. We will inform you as soon as the result comes out.
We've got an ok for the pre-sale of official pamphlet and t-shirts. And the pre festival at KARMA is confirmed on July 25. The doors open at 6:00 p.m. So let's get our friends together and make this "HOSHIZORA Train" successful. There are still some small issues to be sorted, but I hope that everybody's Rockin' Roll spirit will blow them away.

1) Bank transfer within 4 days after apprication. We will designate the account when we accept your reservation.
2) Go to Nippon travel Osaka branch and pay by cash within 4 days after apprication. Credit card is accepted.
4. Things included in the travel fee

6. Prices for children
Adult and children prices are the same. But, for children under 6 will be free if they are accompanied with their parents. However, they won't be able to reserve the train seat, bed, or meal.
