We have finally launched the new fujirockers.org website - refreshed and ready to be charged with the energy of this year's news and faces.
The first thing I have done, is give the website a whole new look, I thought blue would be easier on everyone's eyes! Ha!
fujirockers.org website was designed by me, Mick (Takobouzu), I've been on the internet team since the beginning of FRF, and what seems to be the beginning of time! This year I got my chance to fiddle around with my vision of the festival in 500 percent pure rockin' BLUES! I guess this year there will be a lot changes to the top page, and a great variety of dazzling backgrounds to echo the exciting info we plan to awe U with.
In addition to the new look, I have been workin' on the navigation, drop down quick 'n easy! The site just keeps "growing" so the navigation needed to be X' panded to fit in all future sections to come.
We have also created another NEW BBS board called 'Jamin' were folks just let off steam about music. There hasn't been much activity in the BBS in English, I guess I should come up with an 'all English version' to serve the English 'only' Rockers too!?
Another NEW face is the Rocker's Studio were I get to X'pand my imagination with T-shirt designs n' stuff....... I just gotta let it all out and you've gotta be the victim! Stuff will be for sale, and a part of the profits from sales we plan to contribute to the unfortunate of tragic Wars! The STUDIO will be featuring all kinds of stuff, so check it out from time to time.................
For 'newly born Rockers' it might be a good time to let you know that the Fuji Rock Festival homepage is staffed by volunteers, many of whom got together through the aptly named GET TOGETHER BBS. This section actually started out as a part of the official homepage, but since a couple of years ago it has been hosted on the fujirockers.org website. It is now therefore an unofficial area, unmonitored by Smash. But anyhow no matter which site you cast your eyes on, we are all seriously involved in information gathering and responsible reporting.
In addition to fujirockers.org info, we must advise you all, if you are seeking hard core facts, to visit Smash's Official website for confirmation.
Fuji Rock Festival for the people by the PEOPLE!
In the past, many of the artists who've played at previous FRFs have praised the festival for being the cleanest in the world.
The Naeba locals, agree that the crowd who come to the festival during summer are far better mannered than those who come during winter to ski. Considering the skin chilling line up each year, my guess is that there will be even more people attending the 2002 festival, so we may even more volenteers to keep it "the cleanest festival in the world" and, I hope, an even more international one.
Every year we ask all Fuji Rockers to please be sure to look out for yourselves. Each year has been a miracle really, no major disasters I can recall. But, there are always those guys who turn up light n' easy. We can't be your away from home Mom, so make 'responsible for yourself' a kinda religion! We have guys who come out here thinkin' it's a free for all! there are 30,000 people a day out here each year, and lucky for us, most of them act responsible. Make sure about being weather prepared.....what I'm sayin' is that it changes up there in the mountains. Make sure you bring the right change of MODE. be sure you have accomodation....little blue tent, camping stove little plastic cup.........or if your packin' a bank load, a Japanese hotel to stay at. Here, I'll give some extra info to check out on accomodation. We should have more on this in the months ahead for all you anti-camping crones.
Although details for Fuji Rock Festival '02 will be officially announced in the coming months. The dates and location of Fuji Rock '02 will be posted in the FROM TAISHO section in the months ahead, if Taisho finds time to fill up this section too! Also, take a look at some of the other websites listed in Rockin' Links and Rockers Links. You can get info about hotels in Naeba via their homepages, yeh...I know, it's in bleeding Japanese and U can't can't read it. Another job I'll have to sort out sooner or later...........
....................................
Well, that's it from me. Now it's up to you to make plans to come to Japan and rock!!
