At FRF, there are times your favorite artists are performing at the same time on other stages. Sometimes, it's a nightmare, sometimes you get a strange feeling of happiness. This is a new experience report from tpossible who had such an experience. Along those lines, Patti Smith and Soul flower Union performing at the same time last year - bummer. In 1997, there was one cat who asked for a refund because artists were performing at the same time. Gotta laugh!
We are still accepting your experience reports, so kick back and recount some of the scenarios you can remember and let those who haven't yet experienced the joy of FRF in on a few secrets - camping, transportation, funny or sad anecdotes - anything at all will be useful for others. The word count should be between 400 - 1000 Japanese characters, titled "FRF report" and mailed to ORG-master.
Alrighty, here is tpossible's experience report.

---------------------
Here it comes again. It's time for FRF. I've been going to FRF every year since 1998 when it was held at Toyosu.
Let me tell you about the day that really sticks out in my memory - the first day of the 1999 FRF in Naeba.
The most difficult thing about that day was trying to decide between Rage Against the Machine on Green Stage and Underworld on White Stage.
Should I see either Rage or Underworld in full, or get the best of both worlds - see Rage a little then hit Underworld! ? (This is perhaps the most interesting (saddest!?) part of FRF). After a great deal of hesitation, I eventually made up my mind to see Underworld.
While waiting for Underworld to start, I heard the roar of people shouting from far away.
"Ah! Rage's started! It sounds like it's going off!"
I was so excited...but a little disappointed...
But when Underworld started 30 minutes earlier, (and played for an extra 30 minutes, performing for more than 2 hours!), I forgot all about Rage and what may be happening over there.
It was fantastic, supreme, good enough to die right there and then. It was true. Now and forever, the greatest live performance I'll ever see was Underworld at FRF in 1999. And I'm sure that'll never change.
I'll never forget the feeling when they played "Born Slippy" - it was like being cleansed, or healed, intermingled with a sense of unity. Most people were waving their hands up in the air in adoration. That was the first time I had cried at a live performance.
To people who have never been to FRF, you've gotta go! That sense of unity, the roar of the music, the sense of fulfillment. You could never experience that in other live performances, and that's for sure.
The camping is fun and everybody is so friendly, too. Really, I think FRF is the real "Field of Heaven".
