How is everybody? I've just got back from Korea. World Cup Soccer fever has engulfed Seoul - the highway from the airport down to the main street was full of flags from all the participating nations and all sorts of campaigns. The weirdest thing is, Koreans still feel they haven't hit top gear, whereas as I see it, although I thought Japan would surely be going off more than Korea, the truth is, at the present point in time anyway, Korea seems to have more of an air of excitement.

Anyway, why did I go to Korea? Well, I'm planning to hold a rock festival in Seoul just before FRF, so I had a meeting and was looking for a venue there. In Seoul, there are several big arenas, and regulations for organizing such a festival are not as strict as Tokyo. I'm thinking about choosing a venue from among the 1988 Olympic Memorial Parks. The festival in Seoul is scheduled for Friday July 26, and will include two American bands, which will also play on the Sunday at FRF, as well as some popular Korean groups. One of the American bands is Jane's Addiction, while the other is yet to be announced. Now, if I could get a few beers for my efforts…maybe I can tell...

The lineup for FRF is almost fixed. All that remains is to clear each artist 's schedule, and as soon as that is done, I promise to let you know, so be ready! Changing the subject, to the circus, we're planning on staging some different stuff this year. What we are going to do is yet to be finalized, but once it is, I'll be sure to let everyone know ASAP, so keep your ears pinned.

By the way, is there anybody interested in camping in Ura-tanzawa, Kanagawa Prefecture? I have a friend who keeps a lodge there. Although the lodge is a little rundown, we're planning on making an open-air bath, shower and restroom facilities during Golden Week. Some of my friends and some Fujirockers are going to get together to do the building ? so if you've got nothing to do during GW, or you just like camping, building baths or even pyramids, why don't you come and give us a hand?

We are planning to meet at the site on the evening of May 3, with the equipment and "Goemon-Buro" (bathtub heated from below) arriving the next day. All in all, it'll take from May 4 to the evening of May 6, but even one day's help would be more than welcome. At any rate, the work will be kept to the daytime, the night for star-gazing and partying around the campfire. Ladies are of course welcome too, and those of you that would be kind enough to assist with a bit of building and perhaps even a little food preparation, that would be fantastic. There is also a hot spring near the lodge we can enjoy. Please bring your own tent if you have one, but if you don't, no worries, you can rest in the lodge. Regarding transport, let's make sure we make sufficient contact so as to help everyone out. If each person could bring enough food and drink for one, we will be able to have a kind of pot-luck dinner. We will also prepare various types of food. Please note the work is volunteer. I intend to be there as much of the time as possible. If interested, please get in touch by e-mail.

The mail address to contact is carpwin@jcom.home.ne.jp. Tigers and Giants fans, don't be put off by the mail address! Don't worry, I'm not a Carp fan.

Well, that was the latest from me, but please look forward to a variety of interesting info. coming your way in the near future. Also, please check out the FRF Official Shop operated by Gamban, where flash reports of the artist lineup will be updated. Alrighty, see you all soon.
