Beacause we think hearing about actual experiences from people who have experienced FujiRock firsthand can be helpful for those who wondering to come to the festival this year as well as entertaining, we decided to start up this series of FRF journals.
Here are some reports from bono and manabu. We are getting people's articles one after another. We're still accepting, so please e-mail ORG-master with your two-cents worth. The word count should total no more than 400-1000 charachters in Japanese, or 180-450 words in English. Please title your e-mail with subject of "FRF report".

- Relaxed, Fuji Summer -
We are three adult amigos who were overcome by insidious approach of age. We take part in Fuji Rock every Summer. Of course we used to shout, dance around or hunt boys! in our youth, we were removed from such excitement (this vacation ends up being more of a break from the world than anything else). But it's OK for us. Since Fuji Rock has a wide-ranging lineup compared with other festivals, those who make it to the event range from toddlers to senior citizens. I think Fuji is a very rare kind of festival because people can enjoy it in their own way.
Since we work hard and are exhaused from the daily toils of working life, we are less confident in ourselves, both phisically and mentally. But last year we tried to wedge our way up to the front row. I guess sometimes it's safe if you stand in a corner - even if it's at the very front. Which band did we see from the front row? Oasis, the headliner of the first day of '01. The songs they played were rather classic, and every single song reminded me of our prime. I used to work at Tower Record as a part-time job when I was a student, and I frequently listened to Oasis with my friends. The Gallagher brothers, who would had pale faces not too long ago from junk food and the rock and roll lifestyle are now someone's father. They looked like they were having fun on stage.
We are planning to go to the festival this year again, with plenty of sunscreen ready (we need to protect our skin carefully). I don't think we will struggle to make our money's worth for three days, but we will spend the time there soaking up the loungy atmosphere. So let's have fun there!

I took part in Fuji Rock '00. It was raining when I got there, after the express train "Raicho" brought me from Osaka in a few hours. Upon arrivng, I began to set up a tent at the campsite, where there were a few people listening to the music from the Green Stage.
The next day, I walked to the White Stage and saw the Trojans' ecstatic performance. And then after wandering here and there for a while, I again was back to the White Stage which was strangely silent. The reputed THA BLUE HERB was playing, and I was involved in the stream of BOSS's pushy lyrics in spite of the fact that I didn't even known them.
Later I heard that ILL BEATNIK is some kind of legend among their fans. I was happy I could experience the sound which nowhere else could encounter. Later, when Fuji Rock was on the air on WOWOW, I found the same scene . Then I recorded down it onto an MD, and I still listen to it sometimes.
