Basically, music festivals are just like any other festival. However, fujirockers don't just hold themselves back to enjoying themselves at the actual festival venue, but tend to hold unofficial-type "festivals," or parties, at many different areas in Japan. At these parties, people meet other festival-lovers, often camp together, get hooked up or even break up! Well anyway, there's a lot going on - it's a blast!
In that sense, this year's festivals are already underway - easy to see if you take a look at WANTED BBS. Hopefully, the Documentary of FRF '01 will be the catalyst for such unofficial festivals. After Fuji Rock last year, there was one of these festivals held in Tokyo. It went off and there were calls for more of these parties to be organized throughout Japan, and now it seems plans have been made to do so.
There's going to be a two-hour film of last year's FRF. Of course, it'll be on a big screen with a PA system so those who went to FRF last year can relive memories and those who haven't been to FRF can get a taste of what it's all about.
At the same time, it would be interesting to organize another unofficial party using this as the vehicle - perhaps you will be able to find a friend to go to FRF with or even camp together with. Anyhow, the schedule is as follows. If you have time, please drop by and check it out.

Anyway, I am really looking forward to receiving experience reports from those of you who have actually tasted the FRF experience. FRF is not simply the creation of the organizer, but FRF is born out of the feeling of wanting to create something, something that goes beyond mere business, and this is made possible by all those involved, including local people, transportation staff, artists, and of course the audience.
We're still accepting your experience reports, so share what you experienced for the benefit of all those newcomers thinking about coming to FRF. The word count should be roughly between 400 - 1000 Japanese characters (or 180-450 words in English), title it "FRF report" and email it to ORG-master.
