Midget, Midget, Midget, they are here, and the crowd is burnin', not only for their sounds, cause believe me it's at least 100% humidety and at least 95 degrees out here in Tokyo. The heat hasn't kept the crowds from comin', no worries as they'll be sprayed with cool down water every now and then. Midget are the first on and as nervous as President singin' the truth! They're cute n'cuddly, just luv the neckties. OPTIMISM ミジェットは９４年にベースでソングライティングを担当しているアンディ・ホーキンスとギターのリチャード・ゴーンボウルトがハイスクールで出会ったことによって結成された。後にドラムのリー・メイジャーが加入し、現在の３人となった。９６年の１１月に発表した４アーティストのオムニバスEPに「My Contrived Love」を提供。KERRANG!誌がこのEPをSINGLE OF THE WEEKに選んだことにより注目を集め、９７年１月にデビュー・シングル「カイリー＆ジェイソン」を発表し、４月にセカンド・シングル「カモフラージュ」をリリースする頃には、UKの有力プレスがこぞって紹介し、インディ・チャートにも登場するようになった。５月にはサード・シングル「ウェルカム・ホーム・ジェリービーン」が、８月には４ｔｈシングル「オプティミズム」がリリースされた。９８年６月２５日にはデビュー・アルバム「JUKEBOX」が発売される予定だ。 無断転載を禁じます。 They may not be reproduced in any form whatsoever.
