開場が始まってしばらくの後、今日のホワイト・ステージで最初に登場するKEMURIのメンバーに会いに出かけていった。　すでにステージではサウンド・チェックが始まっていて、メンバー全員がそろっている。なんでも会場に入ったのは午前7時頃。ますはバーベキューをして腹ごしらえをしたらしいのだが、もうすぐするとKEMURIサポーターの女の子たちがみそ汁を作ってくれるということ。いいねえ。　ということで、彼らのライヴが始まるのは10時半。フェスティヴァル2日目が彼らから動き出す。待ち切れません！ (1998.8.2 AM8:00 Reported by hana)

My good old mate Ko chan advised me to see these kids some months ago - it was after he"d spent two crazy bumpy weeks in a bus crossin' that huge country with them on tour, the US of A! He does luv it so! Say no more! Yes! They were burnin' the ass off the loony group of kids again with numbers fast and jazzy with a Reggae edge to them - guessing today's performance was a little more high pitched than usual!? Eh! they are always like this? Wicked Man! Cool! Bangin' n' all that shit!
The man made island where we are, is literally shakin' I can feel the ground movin' beneath me. Kids are rolling over the top of each other like a wild Summer sea breakin' against the rocks! Kemuri started off today's performances with enthusiasm equal to a late night performance, it was a great breakfast show for everyone.
Keep on rollin' Kemuri - the kids luv ya Man!

　大変な盛り上がりをみせるスカコア・シーン、そんな中、爆発的人気を誇っているバンドであるKEMURIは '97 6/21にデビューアルバム『リトル・プレイメイト』を発表。その時行われた恵比寿ミルクでのレコ初ライブは後に語り継がれるであろう、チケットはあっと言う間に完売し、当日も人人人の嵐であった。海外での人気の高さもこのバンドの魅力のひとつである。
CMJチャートでは最高７０位にまでランクインしている。秋には待望の2ndアルバムも発売予定！
