Keepin cool at Fuji. [1999.7.30 15:19]
With the sun baking down on the Fuji Rockers, people are searching for a way to keep cool. With most of the entrances to the river (or trickle), it has been near impossible to go for a dip... that is until I stumbled across a mini parade of people heading down the hill between the Green Stage and the T-Shirt tent. Instantly I knew what must have been happening, and upon arrival at the bottom of the hill I found people playing and bathing in the ice cold water.
Most people were just getting their feet wet, but there were a few brave souls that were going all out. Kunio, from Tokyo, is a prime example. He said, "I'm so damn hot that I dont care how cold the water is!" Another one of the brave ones was Blane, from Ottawa, Canada. He flew all the way in from his teaching job in Seoul just for the concert. Amazing!
Since the river/stream/trickle was basicially to be out of bounds we knew it would only be a matter of time before the security discovered us and sent us back to dry land. I guess that we will have to be a little more quiet next time? NAHHHHHHH!
