FRF '99 Field Of Heaven Newang Khechog [1999.7.31 17:03] A small but dedicated crowd had gathered to see Newang Khechog's second performance at the Fuji Rock Festival - this time in the more intimate setting of the Field of Heaven stage. My friend shook his head as he told me, "This is the second time I've seen this guy and this is the second time he's blown me away..." After a heaven shaking duet with the drummer from 3Peace he delivered his Tibetan Freedom message and then the crowd joined him chanting "Free Tibet" in an attempt that our voices be heard as far away as the seat of the Chinese government in Peking.
